Shoreditch based post production company Splice Post came to Imium to help them create their first post-production studio outside of London.
The all-Avid office, on St Mary Street in Cardiff city centre, has been extensively refurbished and all 30 post-production suites have been kitted out with custom-built sit-stand desks. The facility is linked to Splice’s Shoreditch HQ with a direct fibre connection to enable collaborative working across the different offices.
Splice asked Imium to create a modern facility that allowed their staff to thrive. Each edit room needed to allow the staff to work in a high-quality environment with light and sound being important aspects to consider.
After extending their lease on their Hadfeild Road branch, Enterprise Rent – A – Car decided to give the branch a much needed face-lift.
Enterprise Rent – A – Car are the worlds leading car rental company with branches all over the globe, they take pride in the service they are offering their customers and always aim to go the extra mile and ensure that each one of their branches reflect this.
The Hadfield Road branch is the largest Enterprise Rent – A – Car branch in Cardiff and needed to be designed to reflect the needs of both staff and clients. The tired and dated decor was updated to become a brighter more welcoming space for anyone visiting the branch.
First it its chain to the UK, Coffee Planet approached us to design their first café in Cardiff.
The heart of Coffee Planet’s brand is the coffee beans and its importance on where it is roasted. The overall design is rich with features that are reflective of its history and brand ethos. Through use of key materials such as brass, feature bespoke tiles of a historic Arabic print and key details such as lighting with vintage bulbs that reflects the warmth of the brand. The interior design and brand is also reflective of this – welcoming and relaxed with a touch of raw – a space to offer a place for customers to enjoy food, coffee and to hang out, work and socialise.
The new space is reflective of the brand – rich and raw – these accentuate the look and reflect its rich history but also keeping a contemporary look. They not only connect the design with their chain in UAE, but also emulates the brand of coffee through its interior.
Eastern Business Park
Imium were asked to completely overhaul Building 1 at Eastern Business Park and bring up to current CAT A standard. The brief was to allow the client the flexibility of leasing floor by floor if required to attract multiple tenants if a single occupier couldn’t be found.
Cooling and heating are now on split systems and all utilities and alarms are sub metered floor by floor.
There was a full strip out taking the building back to a bare shell, the demo work included strip out of the following,
- Suspended ceiling and grid
- Partitioning perimeter heating system
- External glazed blind system
- Safe rooms
Savills relocated from their offices in 12 Windsor Place – an office split over four floors – to the top floor of 2 Kingsway, Cardiff.

Welsh Power are a leading developer and operator of gas-fired reserve and peak power plant relocated from their existing offices into new space delivered with Cat A works completed.

Imium have worked on Trade Centre showrooms all across the UK including Birmingham, Coventry and South Wales.
Taking existing warehouses of over 25,000 sq. ft. each and converting from an empty shell through to a completed car sales/showroom.
